Day 39: A Letter From Downstairs

At home in their apartment, a father (A) and his young daughter Hayoon (B) find a letter from the family who live below them.

Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Still learning Hangul? Tick Romanization to see how each line sounds, but read the Korean first.

I'll read it to you. 'Hello. Our baby keeps waking up at night because of the sound of running.'
B 아... 나 때문이야? 어제 저녁에 거실에서 줄넘기했는데.

A... na ttaemuniya? Eoje jeonyeoge geosireseo julleomgihaenneunde.

Oh... is that because of me? I was jumping rope in the living room last night.
A 아빠도 같이 뛰었으니까 우리 둘 다 잘못했지. 이웃으로부터 이런 편지는 처음 받아 봐.

Appado gachi ttwieosseunikka uri dul da jalmotaetji. Iuseurobuteo ireon pyeonjineun cheoeum bada bwa.

I was jumping too, so it's both our faults. This is the first time I've ever got a letter like this from a neighbour.
B 그럼 어떡해? 아래층 아기한테 너무 미안해.

So what do we do? I feel really bad for the baby downstairs.
A 이제 밤에는 뛴다거나 공놀이를 한다거나 하지 말자. 그리고 답장도 쓰자.

From now on, no running or playing ball at night. And let's write them a reply too.

Okay! I'll write the letter. Let's give them a box of cookies too.
A 좋다. 그럼 마지막에 이름은 어떻게 쓸 거야?

B 음... '아래층 아기에게, 위층 하윤이로부터!' 어때?
