Day 17: A Box for Grandma in Jeju

At the post office, Seoa (A), a young girl, and her mother (B) are packing a box to send to Grandma in Jeju.

Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Still learning Hangul? Tick Romanization to see how each line sounds, but read the Korean first.

Mom, here's the drawing for Grandma!
B 와, 잘 그렸어. 그런데 상자가 벌써 꽉 찼어.

Wa, jal geuryeosseo. Geureonde sangjaga beolsseo kkwak chasseo.

Oh, you drew that really well. But the box is already full.
A 상자에 넣을 과자도 있어. 할머니가 좋아하시는 과자야.

Sangjae neoeul gwajado isseo. Halmeoniga joahasineun gwajaya.

I've got snacks to put in the box too. They're Grandma's favourite.
B 그럼 그림은 반으로 접어. 과자는 옆에 넣을 수 있어.

Geureom geurimeun baneuro jeobeo. Gwajaneun yeope neoeul su isseo.

Then fold the drawing in half. The snacks can go in at the side.
A 좋아! 할머니는 언제 받으셔?

Joa! Halmeonineun eonje badeusyeo?

OK! When will Grandma get it?
B 제주도까지는 이틀 걸려. 할머니가 모레 받으실 거야.

Jejudokkajineun iteul geollyeo. Halmeoniga more badeusil geoya.

It takes two days to Jeju. Grandma will get it the day after tomorrow.
A 상자를 열면 할머니가 깜짝 놀라실 거야!

Sangjareul yeolmyeon halmeoniga kkamjjak nollasil geoya!

Grandma's going to be so surprised when she opens the box!
