Day 47: Reverse Culture Shock From Berlin

How to study this lesson 4 steps

Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Still learning Hangul? Tick Romanization to see how each line sounds, but read the Korean first.
Download the Anki deck below and review it every day. It has every line of today's dialogue. Review earlier decks too when Anki asks you to.
Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Korean, for example from the Resources page. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it yet.

It still feels kind of strange. Even restaurants just bringing out water for free seems amazing.

What's so amazing about that? That's just normal.
A 독일에서는 물도 돈 내고 사 먹었거든. 거기서 매일 타던 자전거도 너무 그리워.

In Germany we paid for water too. And I really miss the bike I rode every day there.

Ride one here too. There are good bike paths along the Han River.

There are too many cars, it's scary. And everyone walks so fast.
B 일 년 만에 완전히 독일 사람이 다 됐네.
