Day 115: Mailing Gifts Instead of Visiting

At the post office before Chuseok, Mijin (A) and her husband Sanghoon (B) are mailing gift boxes to both sets of parents instead of visiting.

Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Still learning Hangul? Tick Romanization to see how each line sounds, but read the Korean first.

B 나도. 대신 설날에는 우리 꼭 내려가기로 해.

Nado. Daesin seollareneun uri kkok naeryeogagiro hae.

Me too. But let's promise we'll go down at Lunar New Year instead.
A 그래, 약속! 부모님께 짧은 편지도 써서 넣을까?

OK, it's a promise! Shall we write our parents short letters and put them in too?
B 좋은 생각이야. 엄마는 과일보다 편지를 더 좋아하실 거야.
