Day 250: Seaweed Soup for a Friend's Birthday

On a Sunday morning, flatmates Sohee (A) and Daeun (B) plan to surprise their third flatmate, Yujin, with seaweed soup for her birthday.

B 소고기 없이? 맛없으면 어떡해?

Without beef? What if it doesn't taste good?
A 참치 캔이 있어. 우리 엄마는 가끔 참치로 끓여.

Chamchi kaeni isseo. Uri eommaneun gakkeum chamchiro kkeuryeo.

We've got a tin of tuna. My mom sometimes makes it with tuna.
B 오, 참치 미역국? 그건 만들기도 쉽겠네.

O, chamchi miyeokguk? Geugeon mandeulgido swipgenne.

Oh, tuna seaweed soup? That should be easy to make, too.
A 너는 물 끓여. 참치 캔은 내가 열게.

Neoneun mul kkeuryeo. Chamchi kaeneun naega yeolge.

You boil the water. I'll open the tuna.
B 쉿! 방금 유진이 방 문 열리는 소리 났어.

Swit! Banggeum yujini bang mun yeollineun sori nasseo.

Shh! I just heard Yujin's door open.
