Day 8: Asking the Outgoing Tenant

At a studio flat near a university, Subin (B), who has come to view it, chats with Mr Kang (A), the tenant who is moving out.

How to study this lesson 4 steps

Read the situation under the title. It says who is talking and how they know each other, which decides how politely they speak.
Read the dialogue line by line with its translation, until every line makes sense. Still learning Hangul? Tick Romanization to see how each line sounds, but read the Korean first.

B 여기 오래 사셨어요? 근데 왜 이사 가세요?

A 삼 년 살았어요. 회사가 다음 달에 대전으로 옮기거든요.

Ah, I see. What's it like actually living here? Please be honest.
A 햇빛이 잘 들어서 좋아요. 근데 여름에는 좀 덥거든요. 에어컨을 계속 켜게 돼요.

It gets lots of sun, which is nice. But it's pretty hot in summer. You end up running the air conditioner all the time.
